Not Just Another Forced Relocation / The Canadian Holocaust

Canada’s Story of Genocide

Genocide is the deliberate and systematic destruction, in whole or in part, of an ethnic, racial, religious, or national group.

I had never thought to think that what happened to those little Indian children was genocide, but here it is and there is no public outcry; hell they barely got Prime Minister Harper to apologize and even then he tried to deny them a voice in their own ceremony.

Forced Abortions and Secret Burials – Port Alberni BC

Imagine being separated from your parents and stripped of every thing that matters to you; your religion, your customs and even your name. Babies as young as 5 years were relocated miles away from their families and homes and force to learn the ways of the white man and act like a Christian white person. Parents were forced to travel great distances to visit with their children and some even took to camping outside of the gates of these schools to be near them and no one saw the wrong in this. Every Indian adult had to sign over the guardianship of their children before they entered one of these residential schools or be thrown in jail. This in effect gave the head of the school the right to do as they saw fit with their children.

I found it interesting to that this was done in accordance with the bible and the teaching of

What we are hiding

God. Most of these schools were run and managed by the Catholic Church, but the Anglican Church and the United Church of Canada all took part in the attempted extermination of these people. They were following according to them Gods will. Below I have given you the verses in the bible by which all three of the above mentioned churches, the government of Canada and big business justified there trying to wipe out the total population of indigenous people of Canada

They are taken from the old testament of the bible Deuteronomy 7: 1-2, 5-6

Deuteronomy 7: 1-2, 5-6 When the Lord God brings you into the land you are entering to possess, and drives out before you many nations and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them totally.

Make no treaty with them and show them no mercy. Do not allow any of them to live.

This is what you are to do to them: break down their altars, smash their sacred stones, cut down their trees and burn them in the fire.

For you are a people chosen of the Lord over all others on the face of the earth..

Blankets contaminated by small pox and other deadly diseases were knowingly handed out to natives

The brutality and the thoroughness of the extermination were equal to that of what the Jews suffered at the hands of Hitler. Canada’s Indian act designed to make the Indians wards of the country reduced them to little more than children, or mentally challenged adults. In the middle of the night young children were yanked from their mother’s laps by the RCMP and put in gun boats and taken away to residential schools. Once there they were experimented on like in the concentration camps; they were often sterilized in an attempt to cull the native population; they were beaten, raped and murdered. They were given electric shock treatment and forced to have abortions just to name a few and so much more.

Children with tuberculosis and other infectious diseases were forced to play with those who were not sick and they were forced to share beds instead of the sick being quarantine. When the children got sick the school simply refused them medical treatment and they died and no one could prove that it was not just a tragic incident, but really murder. Of all the Indian children forced to go to these residential schools it is known that at least 50%died of one thing or another in the 1st year. That is a staggering amount of children and the government and the churches say they had no idea it was happening. Does this not sound like Germany after the war?

United Church Sterilization Centre, Bella Bella BC / Rape forced sterilization and death in over a hundred places just like this one

By the time the over 100 of these schools were being used the Canadian Indian population had already dropped dangerously close to extinction level, because of another culling operation going on at the time. Small pox was a deadly killer to the Indian and the church and the Canadian government knew it. Missionaries would bring small pox contaminated blankets as gifts to the Indians taken from hospitals and anywhere else where there was and out break of small pox and within 10 days of receiving them the village would be dead. Everyone would say poor Indians succumbed to a tragic end. Whole village is dead because of small pox epidemic would be the official reporting of the incident.

Children are buried here. Why have we not entered this into the teaching of our history?

Here is a part of an article I found in the Intertribal Times For it was the residential “schools” that constituted the death camps of the Canadian Holocaust, and within their walls nearly one-half of all aboriginal children sent there by law died, or disappeared, according to the government’s own statistics.

These 50,000 victims have vanished, as have their corpses – “like they never existed”, according to one survivor. But they did exist. They were innocent children, and they were killed by beatings and torture and after being deliberately exposed to tuberculosis and other diseases by paid employees of the churches and government, according to a “Final Solution” master plan devised by the Department of Indian Affairs and the Catholic and Protestant churches.

With such official consent for manslaughter emanating from Ottawa, the churches responsible for annihilating natives on the ground felt emboldened and protected enough to declare full-scale war on non-Christian native peoples through the 20th century.

The casualties of that war were not only the 50,000 dead children of the residential schools, but the survivors, whose social condition today has been described by United Nations human rights groups as that of “a colonized people barely on the edge of survival, with all the trappings of a third-world society”. (November 12, 1999)”

The person who was responsible up to now for keeping this in the news and on the front page has done so at great sacrifice to his personal as well as professional life. When he tried to convince his church and the government of Canada, the business that profited by the genocide, to rectify the wrong that they had done they turned his life into a nightmare and then took away all that he loved. His name is Kevin D. Annett and he used to be a Reverend with The United Church of Canada, before they defrocked him for getting too involved in Indian affairs. Ask about him the next time you are in church. I think every Christian and every Canadian owes it to themselves and to these people to find out the truth and do something about it.

Please, if you are a member of any of these churches ask your minister, your priest to explain what happened. Ask them why little Indian boys and girls were sterilized by their doctors ( doctors of the church) in these schools. Ask them why their / your church participated in the tragedies you will see and hear about in this video and why a church would seek to cover these things up.

If you do not go to church ask your Member of Parliament why this happened and why is it not being fixed? Why do they keep acting like they are sorry, but they were only trying to do the right thing and educate the natives? I do not think that these actions can be forgotten or healed with a few million bucks, but we must admit that we were no better than the Nazi’s ; acknowledge publicly the extent to which we harmed these people. Only then will the sore begin to heal; only then can we be sure that we will never be tempted to do this again.

Even today the battle rages on in government, in our homes and in our hearts and minds as to which of the worlds genocides is the worst.  Well the truth is we only speak of and remember one case as horrific; the truth is we only protect in word, action and law one race that faced genocide; the truth is that only one race is totally protected from crimes of hate, or even the suggestion that what happened did not happen, or that it was not as bad as it was;  the truth is that only one people had a word to describe the genocide that happened to it, (Holocaust); the truth is that only one race of people’s plight was considered so bad that a word is used to describe any derogatory talk, or cruel action used against it, ( Anti Semitic). For all other races of people in the world the standard phrases such as prejudice, hate crimes, bigotry and genocide must do.

USA's forced relocation of its native population

For all other races on this planet it is permissible to down play their losses and make sense of the reasoning behind their government sponsored genocides. For all other races on this planet it is permissible behaviour to say that this did not happen, or alter the facts when talking, or teaching about the history of the country.  For all other victims of genocide on this planet waiting to see how bad it gets is an acceptable  way of dealing with the problem and considered aggressive enough action to combat this type of behavior. If their suffering attracts too much unwanted attention then their torture, their suffering and the murder of them will be spoken of quietly in back rooms, with the hope of settling claims and not embarrassing the offending country too much in public; to do the politically correct thing, the diplomatic thing and not ruffle feathers.  This happens because every country has their dirty little secret of genocide hidden away in their closets that they do not want brought pout into the light of day.

Slavery of The African Race

All other victims on this planet are told by the descendants of the perpetrators of these acts against humanity that it is not their fault what their ancestors did, so stop blaming them and move on, because what happened can’t be taken back.  All other victims on this planet are told that it is in their best interest to forgive and forget what was done to them; in all instances except the one. All other victims on this planet are told to grow up and stop living in the past; for all other victims save one and this I find so wrong.

The Holocaust

I agree that what happened to the Jews of Europe was horrible and should never be allowed to happen again to anyone and that no one should ever be allowed to down play what happened to these families and these people. I agree also that no one should be allowed to speak badly or with hate about these people and that they as a race have indeed suffered horribly, but I think that we make a mistake to place their suffering and tragedy above all others who suffered the same or similar fate.

I think that all people and all cases such as the case of the Jews of Europe should be brought forward into reality and not spoken of only in secret and then swept under the rug. I believe there is no genocide worst than the other and just by its definition says how cruel it is to allow this train of thought action and deed to continue.  If we are to stamp out this type of behavior than we must truly make all of these acts atrocities and not seek to hide, justify, or forget anyone of them.  Genocide has happened before the Holocaust and has happened after the Holocaust, as have lesser crimes of hate and bigotry.

Menik Farm Sri Lanka refugee camp over 240000 Tamils housed there

Canada along with just about every other country in the world is guilty of participating in this type of crime against its own people and then all but erasing it from its history.  Look to the North American Indians, the slave-trade if you need examples of genocide, acts of abuse and prejudice that to this day are still being down played and justified, by the same people, the same countries that create words and laws to protect one people, at one time in history from being persecuted ever again. In both instances millions of people were tortured, murdered stripped of all humanity and in the case of the North American Indians whole tribes were wiped out, and yet we insult their memory by saying it really was not as bad as the Holocaust, or some how we had to do it to them if we were to become the gret nation that we are today and that they were some how a means to an end and the end justified the means. We speak as though those lives were some how not as important as those lost in the 2nd world war.

I say continue to protect the Jewish people from persecution, because it is the right thing to do and let the world never forget it, but protect everyone else as well  and recognize the injustices committed on all peoples, especially the ones we as a country and a people committed on our own.

I have the video for you to watch and it is very sad and long. The stories will break your heart.

Hey I thought i had seen this website before… This guy made a exact copy of your site. Or maybe this is also your site? http://www.autotraffic-avalanche.org

I have had several sites spanning many years and under several different pen names . I will sometimes repost and re-edited a post if I feel the message needs to be repeated, or something has changed for the better or for the worst. Sometimes it is just about getting the message out to as many people as possible. Thanks for loking out though. Have a great day!!

No country in the world has a clean history, and it astounds me that so many Canadians think that this one somehow does.

Why is this not taught in schools? Two reasons that I see, Arche:

    1) Jingoistic nationalism as a way to keep the population content, and;
    2) Power over the native communities.

So long as Canadians believe that Canada has a very kind and noble history full of justice they will be easier to fool when the government commits dubious or even evil acts. Nationalism in this country has been artificially bounded to the state; people are no longer able to see that a nation is the people and culture of a land, not merely its government.

So long as the native communities are kept in such a position of powerlessness and in a legally neo-colonialist position via the Indian Act, they will not be able to demand better terms from the government and thus the government will maintain control over tracks of Crown land that should belong to the native nations.

There is a long way to go before a rapproachment can be made. But until people start to turn up the heat on Ottawa, all there will be is empty promises.

Well said. We can only push and hope, but we must never stop screaming and fighting no matter how futile the battle may seem. It is our right as Canadians and our responsibility as part of the human race.
